Why the change to a new coffee?
In the past decade, labor exploitation in coffee cultivation has gained attention worldwide. As a result, many socially aware businesses have committed to ethical practices that prohibit exploitative practices and promote better profits for farmers as well as sustainability in farming practices. When we choose to buy fair trade or direct trade, we are casting a vote for the ethical treatments of the laborers who are responsible for our daily coffee.
Epic is excited to partner with Dessert Oasis Coffee Roasters in Rochester for our coffee! The Dessert Oasis has made it an integral part of their mission to develop lasting, mutually beneficial partnerships by direct trade practices with the farmers who cultivate their crops.
